I’m a bit late (as usual), but I wanted to take a moment to acknowledge that this past Tuesday, October 10, was World Mental Health Day. It’s a day that reminds us the importance of mental health, self-care, and the many ways in which we can support our emotional well-being.
Crochet has been a wonderful source of comfort and calm in my life, especially during those times when I needed it the most. I can’t emphasize enough how this craft has helped me manage my own mental health and I’m sure many of you can relate to the therapeutic benefits of crochet as well.
To celebrate Mental Health Day, I wanted to share with you a special amigurumi pattern I created a few years ago inspired by Sadness from Pixar’s Inside Out. Along with her friends, Joy, Anger, Disgust, and Fear.
See them all here:
Sometimes, it’s OK to not be OK. And that’s OK.
ICYMI…
Happy crocheting!
Love,
Juli
So good to hear that crochet has helped with managing your own mental health. I too find crochet and knitting so helpful. Your Sadness inspired pattern is so cute!
What a cute Sadness doll! We just watched this again and it started some good conversations with the kids.
